- To make it even easier to determine the heat hazard category in your location, you can use an app for your smartphone called the NIOSH-OSHA Heat App. It's available for both Android and iOS devices in their app stores and it's free. Now, one note though is that the app has the ability to pull weather data automatically based on your location, but that only works in the US. But beyond that, the app seems to be available for download worldwide and you can enter data manually and still use the rest of the features in the app. Let's take a look. This is what the app looks like in the app store. You can see its title there. I've already installed it. So I'm just going to click on open. You'll see the title screen and the first thing you see is that it's looking for weather information.
