Tips for success
- Before we move on to discussing the various individual lead categories, let's take a minute and discuss a few tips that have helped many of the project teams I have worked with to successfully accomplish or even exceed their lead certification goals. The first one, in IES you can say this applies to any goal a team works on. Communicate roles and responsibilities clearly. There are so many moving parts to each credit's solution and documentation that one small task that no one took responsibility for could lose a whole credit, sometimes put a pursuit level of certification at risk. Next, start early. Lead certification documentation is time intensive. You can't turn around this ship last minute. Good planning, clear communication of roles and responsibilities, and starting early can nip many common lead certification issues in the bud. Document credits in a timely manner.
