- [Instructor] There's a new text editor. This one's exciting. It shouldn't be, we should've had a 21st century text editor a long time ago, but here it is. I'm going to jump into Revit, of course. I'm going to go to a floor plan. I'm going to throw some text in. The old way still stands, we can either click the text up here on the Quick Access toolbar or, of course, go to Annotate, Text. These are all the same here as well, but what I'm going to do is I'm going to pick a window and add some text. Here's the difference.
First of all, look, we can pan around and zoom in and out. That's good. Remember when it used to be way out here? You'd have to type some in, zoom in on it, then finish it. That was awesome. What I like to do is just start typing. Of course, this is lowercase and that's no good, but what I can do is swipe over it and uppercase it. Excellent, now I can zoom in a little bit more and hit the dropdown. Maybe I'll bullet this. I'm going to call it BULLET, notice that we're all uppercase now, #1, BULLET #2.
That's a huge indent, so let's see how we can fix that. I'm going to click off of it, and we've got text. I'm going to select it. I'm going to go to Edit Type. Now for my Tab Size, I want to decrease that to maybe 1/4 inch. Then hit Apply and OK. That's a lot better. If we double-click inside of our text editor, we're back in. I can swipe this, and I can say Bold, Italics, Underline, all that good stuff.
I can make another bullet and call it 45. Remember when we couldn't do the degree symbol? Ha-ha, we can do that now, right-click, Symbols, Degree Sign. Wow, that's been a long time coming. We can also make these Subscript or Superscript, and we even have little shortcuts for it. We can go back to normal, excellent. If I swipe over all these, we can go A, B, C, we can go one, two, three, or lowercase a, b, c.
With this, now we can increment the value list. So we can change that. We can make it smaller. Of course, we have the typical Cut, Copy, Paste, Clipboard. We can Undo within the text editor without having to undo the other changes. It's pretty simple and straightforward, but, (sighs) oh man, it's great to have a new text editor.

Q: Why can't I earn a Certificate of Completion for this course?
A: We publish a new tutorial or tutorials for this course on a regular basis. We are unable to offer a Certificate of Completion because it is an ever-evolving course that is not designed to be completed. Check back often for new movies.
