- [Instructor] I just smiled when I saw this one. I'm glad this finally made it into the Revit interface. Space naming utility. This week's video is a short one, but gone are the days of making a schedule and manually typing in the room names into a space. I'm jumping into a mechanical model. I'm going to go to Analyze, I'm going to click Space. I'm just going to start throwing in a bunch of spaces.
However many I want. And of course, there are just randomly names, nothing to do with the rooms. I have two spaces in there, so I'll delete that one, that's fine. Put one here and then here. Then there. And hit Escape a few times. Now I'm going to go to my Analyze tab, and right here we have Space Naming. Go ahead and click Space Naming.
All levels or specific levels, that's fine. I like to do names and numbers. Let's click OK. I must have duplicate number values. You can blame the architect for that. Let's click OK. Bam. So now when I select any one of these random spaces, you can come over here, and it did all that work for us. Easy enough. So let me know if you found this didn't work, or if you did and you like it. I've seen in forums that people are having this not work.
I have a hard time getting it to not work.

Q: Why can't I earn a Certificate of Completion for this course?
A: We publish a new tutorial or tutorials for this course on a regular basis. We are unable to offer a Certificate of Completion because it is an ever-evolving course that is not designed to be completed. Check back often for new movies.
