Select sun settings

- [Instructor] I want to show how I can get feedback on where the shadows are in my building for any location at any time of the year so if you click on the location icon, this is where my building is. In my case Alameda, but you could change it to whatever you want. Under the sun settings again here, do I have shadows on or off? For control of the position, you can use either the dialog down here to say what time of the year and what time of the day, so if I said that's the summer solstice, but it's summer solstice at whatever time I want to specify in here. Let me say that midday and with daylight saving. So with my shadows on here, what I'm going to get is a depiction of the shadows. If I want, I can use those controls. I can also change the time. For example, if I said I wanted to go to clicking on the month, I want to go to December, and the winter solstice would be December 21st, so if I click on there. I'm going to click on the screen away from this to clear that so you can see where the shadow is in winter solstice. You can use also the sun editor. This is going to give me a control where what I can do is I can change this and position it to control where I'm getting the shadows from. Depending on the size of your model, this might be a little sluggish. So I'm going to click on here and turn that off. And that's how I can adjust where the shadows are falling for the geographic location, time of the year, and time of day.
