Reusing frame members
- [Instructor] When I created my metal frame, I realized that each of the individual members that were placed into the frame were given unique part numbers. For my build materials and parts list needs, I want to be able to take advantage of reusing frame members, and having multiple instances of that frame member, rather than several different part numbers with all the same physical attributes. To do this, I'll use the reuse tool. I already have an example in my starter assembly, which is C03_03, in the browser. Here I can see that I have my original frame member, and a reused version of it, which has all the same part number information. You'll see the colon one, colon two, which shows that it's simply an instance. So I'll go through that process with my other two types of frame member. I'll reuse, selecting my vertical frame member. It captures all of the attributes, all of the information and the source member number, then I can go about placing it. Placing it is done in the exact…
