Relative feature lines
- [Instructor] We have seen how to get the elevations of a feature line from a surface. But what if we could link the feature lines elevations to a specific surface? So wherever the surface goes, whatever adjustment those elevations are from the surface, the feature line would follow. This is the power of establishing relative feature lines. So that's what we're going to look at in more detail in this exercise. So we're going to open up our 1206 feature line reference, or FL reference drawing. And in this drawing I have two different views. Now we're going to be focusing purely on the view on the left side to work on, but in the view on the right you'll be able to see what's actually occurring in more 3D. And so I'm going to select our feature line, and one of the things we didn't talk about as we were assigning elevations from a surface is another value there.
