Quick sketching tips
- Whether you're working with a director or just want to get your own ideas sketched out quickly, being able to create quick thumbnails is important. So one of the things that if you're an artist you've always heard is keep a sketchbook, do life drawing. So for instance, these images here, these are friends of mine, these are cartoonists, and whenever we get together for dinners, we all just keep drawing each other. I just have a sketchbook with me, these are some of the images from it. Now your sketchbook does not have to be very large. This is one of my sketchbooks. It's really tiny, but I can carry it easily. So it's up to you. Carry whatever you feel comfortable drawing in. You should also learn perspective. You should be able to do it without drawing all the perspective lines.
