Project location and orientation

- [Instructor] This is the beginning of the workflow where we establish the context for a project that's going to be used for energy analysis. And the location tab will let us define where the building model is in the real world. If you notice on the top left, there's a search field, and if you typed in your project address, in my case it's 301 Broadway and it's in Alameda. And I see the different locations here. I can pick on the one that is correct and it'll move me to that location. If I use the central scroll bar, I can roll forward, get closer to the site. I can also use the icons on the screen to zoom in or zoom out. If I roll in a little bit, you'll see that I can choose to display the different data that's on my set the location dialog box. And I can display a road, which is the default or an aerial photograph. And another option that's up there is I can actually decide do I want to have labels or not, so I can turn on and off the display of any text that's in the file itself. If I then decide that I want to bring in that satellite image because I want to draw on top of it, I can click Import Satellite Image. I can use my left mouse button to pan around just to make sure that I'm fitting the whole building onto the area that's displayed, and then I can say Finish Importing. And what that does is it brings that image into my file. Inside of Format, I typically only work in two views. I've got a top view, where I can be looking at a plan view of the actual image, and then I can draft on top of that.
