Presentation boards versus shooting boards

- In addition to the differences between live action and animation storyboards, as we discussed in the previous video, there are also differences between presentation boards, also called pitch boards, and shooting boards, which are also called production boards. And as you see here this is an example of a presentation board. They're generally much higher quality artwork, often in color, and they're used to pitch a concept. Now, they're not representative of every shot in the sequence and there are a few highly rendered frames which showcase the look or feel of whatever it is that you're going to shoot. For instance, when an ad agency pitches an idea of a commercial to client, they may use just four to eight frames to demonstrate the feel of a commercial as they pitch the idea.
