- [Instructor] One of the mistakes that I find that new BIN managers tend to make is that they do not realize what they're actual financial impact is to the organization. Meaning, they see a lot of benefit that they can bring to the organization. May it be in stream lining processes, making project teams better, or overall bringing just more value to the organization. But they don't really understand what that means in bottom line dollars. So one of the first things you need to consider is how does management view you? Well obviously they think that they need to have your expertise in house or else they wouldn't be hiring you in the first place. But you also need to look at it through their eyes, meaning the first thing is that how much will you actually cost the organization? Well it could be your time in hours or salary, and I'm finding more and more often that the BIM manager is a salary individual.
