- [Female Narrator] A majority of resin 3D printers print bottom up with the print created upside down relative to gravity. The biggest force on the print during the printing process is typically not gravity but peel force. Peel force is the force exerted on the top of the print as it is peeled away from the clear window at the bottom of the resin tank where the laser projector hardening the current layer. - [Male Narrator] The filament prints are typically oriented with their longest access parallel to the platform to maximize the strength and minimize support requirements. Resin printing has different considerations. These prints are much more isotropic, so strength concerns are reduced. There is a suction problem however, as each layer is peeled away from the bottom of the resin container. Standing objects upright or placing them in an angle helps with this since less area needs to be cured and peeled each layer.…
