- [Instructor] We have discussed before how modularized work is ideally suited for an agile new product development process. In this section, what we'll talk about is how a series of components could be viewed as different work streams within an agile project, and how the different work streams, or the components that are being designed, ultimately get turned into what in a classical agile environment we would call a backlog. Let's take a look at that from a new product development standpoint. Let's say that we're a manufacturer, and our customer, an automotive OEM, has given us a task or asked us to create a project where we would be creating for them a new anti-lock braking system for a vehicle. Well, right away, we as a manufacturer of braking systems, hypothetically, know that there are going to be certain components. For example, we're going to have a sensor that goes on the wheel or on the brake system to let us know whether the wheel is spinning or not. We know that this system…
