- [Instructor] I'd like to look at some general massing this week. To do that let's jump into Revit. Let's start a new architectural project using the architectural template. What I want to do is let's go to the south elevation by double clicking on this datum. Let's make level two 20 feet. Now a lot of times when you're using massing you use reference planes and levels in conjunction with one another. So what I want to do here is create a reference plane and then we're going to have a wall that kind of just gradually comes out like that at each side and on the front. So, let's click ref plane up here or type r p. On the draw panel let's click on our pick lines button. Now let's give it an offset of seven feet. I'm going to offset it upward seven feet then I'm going to hit escape a couple of times. Go ahead and select it. For the name I'll just call it midpoint. Then I'll click apply. Now let's go to level two. In your properties let's scroll down to where it says underlay. So range…
