- [Instructor] In this video, I'll show how to make the little known but very awesome isometric view. Yes, in Rhino. We will then explore the named position command to help us get the parts back to where they belong. Also, don't worry the exploded view is not dangerous. In this example we'll be using Gridopolis Games, a very cool strategy game and system I was involved in. And we're going to create some diagram for instructions. So let's first talk about what is an isometric and why do we care about it? So, perspective view as we can see here is three dimensional and realistic, but we have foreshortening. Things are larger as they're closer and they can be overlapping and cluttered and they're smaller when they're farther away. Now in the ortho views, like top, front, side, there is no distortion, but everything is flat and kind of stacked up. So in isometric view as we'll see, lies somewhere in between. Let's…
