- In this movie, we're going to talk about product design and how they prototype the processes and how they choose the materials that they select and the different iterations of prototyping and the development of the actual product design process. I like to start here. This is what we would call a Frankenstein, so when we're designing something that has a haptic or some type of high usability. There might be ergonomics or there might be functionality that we need to get a sense of. And so in this Frankenstein we took parts of an existing product and then we designed a mechanism that we were going to move forward with in the design, however, we wanted to understand how much force we wanted to use, so we ended up making this rig that allowed something that required very little force and something that required a lot of force, and through it we were able to test with some of our users and find out what was the sweet spot.
