- [Instructor] This one set me back a little. I'll be honest, I struggled with it but it's one of those things that we just need to accept. You would think that using shared coordinates in this model would be the preferred method but it is not. In this video, I'd like to take a glance at the location of the project. The thing is if we're going to do any kind of energy analysis, we need to know exactly where this building is on the face of the planet. New Green Building Studio doesn't care so much the time of the year or the time of the day, because we're going to do monthly and yearly analysis, however, we need to know where the building is positioned on the face of the planet and how it's rotated. So, I was of the belief that perhaps shared coordinates would be the best method because our building is rotated true north and it is at the right elevation on the face of the planet.
