In this video, learn how to find your Autodesk account and where to find GBS.
- [Narrator] Green Building Studio isn't a desktop application; it's a web hosted database originally designed by IBM, in conjunction with Autodesk. Over the years it has gone through some iterations on how to access it. Now, you need to access it through your Autodesk account. The objective of this video is to find your Autodesk account and where to find GBS; Green Building Studio. So you're just looking at a blank page, I'm going to go to autodesk.com. Now, over in this area here, you should have a little pull down with your picture on it if you're logged in. If not, that's okay, you're going to click this dropdown and you're going to go to Manage products & downloads. It may make you sign back in, that's fine. I'm going to go next. I like to stay signed in. Click sign in. It knows it's morning where I am. So now I'm in my account. Oh good, my been through 60 purchase came through. Now, we need to go to All Products & Services. Get used to this message, it's always there. We get little flashes, I got it. Now, what they've done is they've bundled it into your Architecture Engineering & Construction Collection. Generally, you'll have that, if not, you'll see it just sitting out alone. In most cases, you're going to see it built into your Architecture Engineering & Construction Collection, so I'm going to drill into that. Let's go to View Items. Oh, I own a lot of stuff. Let's scroll down until we find our Insight areas. What I'm looking for, this part, is going to be Insight Green Building Studio. The other two Insights are for a different course. Insight Green Building Studio, we can drill into that. There's not a lot of information, but we can go to access now; notice that there's no view downloads or download now. When you see access now that means it's going to launch a URL. So click access now and here we are! We're in Green Building Studio. So, that's how you find Green Building Studio. Now that we can find it, let's add some data.
- Exporting models from Revit
- Setting up profiles and projects in Green Building Studio
- Creating a run list
- Creating design alternatives
- Adding project details
