LEED certification process

- The LEED certification process starts with registering your project. Typically, a project owner, architect, or the LEED consultant, if there is one, registers the project through LEED Online by paying the registration fee. If the person registering the project is the person that will also be managing the process, he or she is called the project administrator. Including the project registration, the whole LEED process is completed on LEED Online, a web-based portal. On LEED Online, project teams can fill out project details, submit payment, access forms, upload credit and prerequisite documentation, access comments and credit language, and view a real-time snapshot of their project's progress. Once the project is registered, the project administrator invites team members to the project and assigns roles and responsibilities.
