Geolocating a Revit model from a survey

- [Instructor] There's a nice new way to geolocate a Revit model based on a survey from AutoCAD Civil 3D. Let's take a look. I'm gonna jump into Revit, and I'm gonna open up an architectural template. While I'm in here, I'm gonna jump down to the site floor plan, in my project browser, and we can see we have our project base point, as well as our survey point. I'm gonna go find a survey now, so let's go to the insert tab. And let's link CAD, we cannot import it, it won't work, we need to physically link it. Click link CAD. Browse to where you're keeping your survey. I'll grab this one. I'd like to preserve the colors ... Layers, I'll make invisible. Import units. You might have to play around with this, I know that mine is gonna be feet, that's generally what it's gonna be. Positioning auto center to center, I don't use that much, but in this case, I like using it, 'cause I know it's gonna put it right in the center of my project. Click open.
