- [Instructor] With now a common and good understanding of what Agile means to new product development projects and how Agile fits in with other project management methodologies, and the roles of some of the key players, I'd like to spend a little bit of time talking about how to actually get started with an Agile project. The first thing I want to do is reinforce that Agile is full-circle thinking. So what we mean by that is Agile project management methodologies started in statistic quality control for manufacturing. It worked very, very well and in fact, so well that that idea was brought into Agile software development, where it gained widespread use as a project management methodology in and of itself. So now, what we're doing is we're bringing it back to Agile new product development or essentially, uniting the statistic quality control and the Agile software development methodologies with traditional new product development methodologies.
