- [Instructor] While most drawings show a medium or large area of a collection of devices or components, sometimes the manner in which these components need to be installed cannot be explained on an overall drawing, but needs to be shown with more detail, and that's where there nickname detail comes from. Details are small drawings showing the finite arrangement of components and a description of how it is to be installed, and or operate. Some details include wiring connections, and some are more physical in arrangement. Let's take a look at a few examples of details. This sheet has a bunch of different details on it that we're going to kind of drill into a little bit. I'll zoom into this first one, oh yeah, this is a little mounting detail. You see this? This is a stand the architect wanted us to build and then we put some disconnect switches on it, a power cord reel, GFI outlets and even the data jack. If you…
