Design Accelerator concept

- [Instructor] The primary purpose of the design accelerator tools in Autodesk Inventor is to help select and generate standard components. This is particularly true for machine design. The design accelerator tools are not available in the single part environment. They are a function of the assembly, therefore they can only be located and used in an assembly file. When you have an assembly open, or you create a new assembly, you can go into the Design tab on the ribbon. In the Design tab, you'll find multiple panels that contain the various design accelerator tools. Design accelerator tools come in two types, generators and calculators. Generators will help you select a component based on standard sizing, location, function, and are even capable of leveraging calculations to validate the size or number of components needed.
