- Resin 3D printers can produce prints with amazingly delicate and precise features. Designing for one requires some knowledge of the process, materials, and software to get good results. - [Joan] If you're used to printing with filaments, you'll find that some filament printing practices are turned upside down when printing with resin. It's also important to know how to handle resin and to wash and post-cure your prints. - [Rich] Most likely, you'll be working in a proprietary ecosystem of the machine, material, and software. 3D printing has already made huge changes in some industries, like jewelry making. Other manufacturers have even designed machines with specific types of users in mind, like dentists. - We're Joan Horvath and Rich Cameron, the co founders of Nonscriptum LLC, and authors of many books on 3D printing and related technologies. We'll introduce you to the different types of resin 3D printers, and the relative advantages of each. If you have experience with filament-based printing, this course will show you how to think differently when it comes to resin 3D printing.
