- [Instructor] Not all columns are plumb. In Revit you can have slanted columns. If you take a look at these columns, obviously they have a slant to them. We can draw these actually in plan. For example, if I go to level two under structural plans, we'll see that we have a column here, but this column actually starts at column line two and slants up to column line 1.1. So when we go to a 3D view, here's our column. I'm going to close out of here, and we're going to jump into Revit. Under projects let's click structural, for the structural template, or use your structural template. Now, let's create a grid: On the Structure tab let's click the Grid button. Pick a point from here to about here, you can eyeball the length. Click on the Show Bubble button. Hit Escape a couple of times. Select column line one; click the Copy button. Pick a point on column line one. Let's go to the left four feet. We'll rename number two to 1.1 and hit Enter. Very good! Let's select column line one, and…
