Creating a slab on grade

- [Instructor] Let's start looking at slabs. There are two main systems we'll discuss in this course. One is a slab on grade, while the other is a slab with metal decking. To add a slab on grade, we simply need one thick material. Of course, it's going to be concrete. We'll duplicate the existing 300 millimeter generic floor and modify it to suit our needs. In Revit, I'm going to go open, browse where you're keeping your exercise files. I'm going to grab Structural-24 and click "open." Perfect. Let's go down to Level One. Let's scroll down till we find "View Template" and let's click on "None" and click "Okay". Let's scroll up until we find our "Discipline". Let's set that for structural, click "apply." Now, on the structure tab, click "floor." We'll grab generic 300 millimeter. That's fine. Click "edit type." Let's duplicate this. Let's call it "Generic 152." So "Generic 152 millimeters" and get rid of…
