Convert Revit families to FormIt families
- [Instructor] If you're working with Formit and Revit together you can see that under the Add-ins tab when you install the additional software, you've got the option that says convert a Revit family to a Formit family. So under there, what I'm going to do is say, convert Revit family to Formit. Really you just have to have two folders that have your families stored in them. In our case, you say browse, go to your class files, and you see that I've got here, this is the location of the Rivet families, so that's there folder that has those families in it. And then this is the location of the output and if I go to the folder that was on the class files that says _Format Families that's all I need to do to convert them. When I click on the OK button, it actually does check to see if the families are created correctly. It might be that not all families, can be created for example a light family in Revit would not be turned into…
