Converging on a solution
- [Instructor] As we discussed earlier, Agile works very well for projects that are iterative. The iterative nature of these projects often is described as converging on a solution, or in the new product development world, it's often depicted as a funnel, in which case on the left side of the funnel we have a wide variety of requirements and a wide variety of capabilities that are described by the customer, and as the new product development process progresses, the funnel gradually narrows. Certain projects or certain iterations are weeded out or described as nonviable, and you ultimately end up on the narrow end with the chosen candidate or just the chosen several candidates that will move forward. Now forever manufacturers have been creating prototypes of their products, so that is nothing new.
