- Why do we need contracts? There are many parties involved in the design and construction of buildings. The architect, client, contractors, subcontractors, and others. Contracts ensure a smooth delivery of each project by defining the scope of the project, and the roles and responsibilities of the parties involved. This helps avoid misunderstandings and conflict. And in this way, a contract is a guiding document you will refer to often. Setting clear expectations.
