Be honest, you don't want to see rebar in most views. It gets annoying and can ruin the aesthetic of a set of drawings. Learn about visibility settings in this video.
- [Eric] To be honest, we don't want to see rebar … in most views. … It gets annoying fast … and can sure ugly up a set of drawings. … What I'd like to do in this video is show … how we can look at rebar in different views … and actually not look at rebar in different views. … So in Revit, … let's go to our Section Footing 13. … Select your column that the rebar's in. … Hold down your Control key … and select the footing that your rebar is in. … On the View panel, click the Section Box button. … Kind of neat, but what we're going to see is … if we hit Escape a couple times, … we don't see that reinforcing, right? … What we can do is let's go ahead … and set our visual style to Wireframe. … Let's set our scale to 1/2 inch equals a foot. … Now hold down your Control key … and start selecting these bars that we had placed. … And go through and select all of these. … Here we go. … Now that all those bars are selected, … what we want to do is we want to come down … to Graphics, View Visibility States. …
