Configuring dimensions

- [Instructor] The key to a good Revit template is to have your dimensions squared away. It's a little harder than configuring text, but it's the same idea. So again, let's jump into Revit, let's go to our architectural template under projects. Now here's what I'd like to do. I'd like to configure my dimensions, so instead of putting a dimension in, let's go to our Annotate tab. Notice we have a ton of different dimensions. So if you click the dimension drop-down right here, notice that we have to set a dimension type for each style of dimension. Unlike AutoCAD, where you set one dimension style and everything applies to it, Revit's a bit different where you have to be more specific. This is good and bad, but just make sure that you have all of your dimension types configured identically. The first thing I'd like to do is go to Linear Dimension Types.
