Is BIM management actual management?
- [Instructor] One of the big questions is, is BIM management actual management? And the answer to that question in most cases is going to be yes, BIM management is actual management. Some individuals will believe that all BIM management is is keeping computers running, setting up templates, making sure that you read through all the documents required for that project so that you know what deliverables need to be done in terms of should it be a 3D model of a certain level of development, and then passing that information along to a team. Well, yes, you can do that as part of BIM management, but realistically what BIM management is is it's truly managing process. It's managing the risk on projects. It's managing your overall deliverables for the office, meaning things like the models, the drawings, any information that's generated from those models or drawings, and it's managing people, going through the training process, creating content which makes other people's jobs easier.
