Animating time-lapse shadows - SketchUp Tutorial

Animating time-lapse shadows
- [Instructor] Now that we've settled on a project site and even built a custom awning based on our solar analysis, it's time to create a visualization that will show the way that the shadows move both on the summer solstice and on the winter solstice. The way that you can animate in SketchUp is by using scenes. Think of the scenes as keyframes in the animation that you're going to export. So let's think about the Summer Morning scene. I'm going to zoom in and get more of a street view, look here, down here, just by positioning the camera. I'd also like to display shadows from edges so that we have an indication of the tree canopies. Because in the summer, of course, those trees will be in leaf. Now let's save the Camera Location and then update the Summer Morning scene. Next, we'll go to Summer Afternoon. I'm going to zoom out and get more of an overview of this entire area because, in my mind, the cafe doesn't really just exist within this blue area, but people will come over here…
