- [Instructor] Let's continue talking about teams through the lens of the Agile process. We use the terms creative teams, and we've used it before in this course, to say that there's room for some creativity in the Agile process. The overused term thinking outside the box comes into play but essentially what it means is that there's a level of self direction that has to happen in the Agile process or the Agile teams for the Agile process to work. One is, the teams need to be focused on customer outcome. In the previous section of this chapter, we talked about how the manufacturing and product design or engineering worlds are very different. In fact, it's my experience that oftentimes they're at war with each other or certainly have an antagonistic view of each other. Our job, as project management professionals, is to not only unite them, but it's to have them work in a collaborative environment. One way to do that is to have them focused on customer outcome.
