- [Narrator] I want to take a moment and talk about collaborative teams. This is slightly different than the collaboration we spoke about just a moment ago in the fact that it highlights an area that manufactures typically have a challenge overcoming when adopting agile project management methodologies. The disconnect that I frequently see as a professional who's guided customers through this is that manufacturing and design operate in very different ways under very different mindsets. For example, the manufacturing process is generally involved with taking a very well-defined input. Example here, we're showing a part in a computerated design screen, but it's a very defined part and there's no room for creativity from the manufacturing process view. The manufacturing engineer wants to have the output created that exactly matches what they were given by product development. To that end, they would be using very specific specified materials.
