Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding curbing to a site in Revit, part of BIM Tools Weekly.
- [Instructor] Unless your site is completely flat,…adding curbing in Revit was impossible.…I know there are some new site tools,…but I find them way too tedious,…and they just don't seem to work.…So, gleaning from the knowledge we gained last week,…let's learn how to create curbing profile,…and make a railing out of it.…So I'm going to, of course, go into Revit,…and open up a site project.…You can just draw in any random topo surface if you like.…I just have a little roadway and some grass.…I'm going to make a new family.…I'm going to go to the File tab.…
I'm going to go to New and then Family.…Now, I want to scroll down to Profile-Rail.…And let's click Open.…I want to go to Manage.…And I like to just set my project units,…and suppress zeroes.…So, I'm going to go to Length.…And I'm going to suppress 0 feet.…Let's click OK.…Let's click OK.…Now, I'm going to make a curbing profile.…I'm going to right click on this horizontal reference plane,…and I'm going to create similar.…
On my Draw panel, I'm going to click on Pick Lines.…

Q: Why can't I earn a Certificate of Completion for this course?
A: We publish a new tutorial or tutorials for this course on a regular basis. We are unable to offer a Certificate of Completion because it is an ever-evolving course that is not designed to be completed. Check back often for new movies.
