Adding columns

- [Narrator] In addition to our concrete foundation, we're going to steel framing on our second floor and our roof. Of course, before we do that, we're going to have to add some columns. So let's do it. Let's add some columns. On the structure tab, click the column button. Instead of concrete, rectangular column, click the drop down. Let's select W shape column, W10x33. Let's make sure our heighth is set to level roof. Because we have such a simple layout, we can click at grids. Let's pick a window around our entire model, so it selects all of our grids. Click finish. Hit escape a couple times. Let's go to a 3-D view. Notice what we've got here. We've now got columns bearing on a pier or pilaster bearing on a footing. Notice that we have an analytical note that goes down through this. Select one of your columns. Revit knows that we have a wide flange column, but underneath it here, instead of…
