Add bathtub and faucet - SketchUp Tutorial
From the course: SketchUp: Bathroom Remodel
Add bathtub and faucet
- In this video, we're going to work on the existing bathtub. I'll zoom in to the bathroom. And let's begin by making an enclosure that a bathtub, that we can later download from the 3D Warehouse, can drop into. I'll use the rectangle tool by pressing R and start drawing the rectangle from this back corner. Then, press X to go into x-ray mode and click this corner. Then press X again to exit x-ray mode. Press P for the push-pull tool, and pull this up, let's say, two feet. So I'll type two apostrophe enter. Now I'll triple click on this surface to select all contiguous faces and edges and then press G to make that a group. Then double click the group for editing. Everything else grays out. I would like to be able to see the side of this, so instead of using x-ray mode, I will press N. This hides the rest of the model. This is very handy when you're working in a group or a component. Now I can zoom in here, and the next thing I'd like to do is round this edge. That would be much more…
