Practice coding with C. Explore common C programming challenges, and then compare the results with other programming languages in the Code Clinic series.
- [Dan] Hello, and welcome to Code Clinic for the C programming language. My name is Dan Gookin, author of several programming books, including Beginning Programming with C For Dummies, as well as various online training courses in C. For the C programming language, the challenges in this course show creative and effective ways to use good old text mode C coding to solve a broad range of problems. This series and its approach are beneficial to you whether you're new to programming or consider yourself an old hand.
The goal is to demonstrate how to effectively use C programming in real world situations. Along the way, I hope to broaden your appreciation of C and my traditional approach to coding these modern programming problems. It's good to step out of the comfort zone when solving puzzles, which is why Code Clinic is such a wonderful series. If you searched our library, you'll find other Code Clinic courses by several authors, each solving the exact same set of problems, but by using a different programming language.
You can compare different solutions, as well as the pros and cons of each language used. I believe you'll find the Code Clinic Series useful, whether you're new to programming or looking for tips on better coding or are trying to decide on which programming language to learn next. I'm excited to show you my solutions for the challenges proposed to the Code Clinic authors, so let's get started with Code Clinic for C.
