Learn how to add a Panel control and limit the tracking of the mouse movements to the surface of the panel.
- [Instructor] Now for the more complicated part.…Now we want to track the mouse movement over the…form while the button is down…and then change the values as we go.…So while the user is dragging the mouse across the surface…of the form, we want to actually change…the frequency and the volume.…So this requires us to keep track…of the position of the mouse and the status of the button,…and then adjust the volume and the frequency accordingly.…The first thing I'm going to do is go back to the design…of the form, and open View, Toolbox.…
Now I'll place a panel over the center of the form,…drag-and-drop panel onto the center of the form,…because I don't really want to track the movement…of the mouse over the entire form,…I just want to track the movement…of the mouse within the bounds of this panel,…and this is important because…the tracking of the mouse outside the edges…of say these sliders would also count as mouse move events,…and so I want to limit tracking the mouse movements…to within this area here in the middle.…
