The State pattern Gang of Four description is provided in this video as: Allow an object to alter its behavior when its internal state changes. The object will appear to change its class. Reynald simplifies the definition as: Allows an object to change what it does based on its current state. He then describes the class diagram for the pattern and provides a real-world example along with its class diagram.
