The win–win

- I believe that in every relationship there's got to be a win-win. And what I mean by that is it has to be good for both sides. And I really think I learned this firsthand as a little kid watching my dad negotiate for a car. And my dad was what they call a soft sell. And that means that he didn't come in as a big promoter trying to sell you on something. He was very smooth and very real and he always thought about what is going to be the thing that will be good for both sides. So watching him buy a car, you know, he had quite the contender to deal with because he was dealing with the used car salesman. And nobody's a better hard sell then a used car salesman. But my dad worked with the guy and kind of figured out what he wanted, what color car, what he wanted inside, and the used-car salesman was wanting his certain things around price, and before you knew it they had come to an agreement where both sides were happy.…
