Be who you are

- When I was a little kid, my mother would say something to me if I was a little nervous about a new situation, or, I was very musical so I was always doing some kind of recital or had a job interview later, and she would say to me, "Liz, just be real. "Be who you are." And I think it's very important now for all of us to remember this. Because we're in a time where women are constantly looking to someone else. Whether it's something they read, whether they're taking a course. Whether they're looking up something from an expert. There's a lot of advice out there. And there is a lot where people are telling us how to be. And so what I would just say is, learn. It's all good. Admire, that's very important. Look up to, that's all great. But remember at the end of the day, just to be real. Because if you remember to know who you are and to celebrate that, and to listen, and to be present in the room with someone else,…
