A typical day as a CNA and ideal character traits for the role
(gentle music) - [Narrator] Miranda is an experienced nursing assistant and mother of two happy, healthy kids, Thompson, age 10, and Emmy, age six. Most Mondays, she works the seven to three shift at Linfield Acres, a residential nursing facility 30 minutes away from her house. While she is on the bus, she reviews her weekend homework assignment. Miranda is taking night classes to get her bachelor's degree. Miranda leaves her home on Monday mornings at 6:15 in order to get to Linfield Acres by 6:45. This gives her a few minutes to grab a cup of coffee and catch her breath before her shift meeting at seven. By 7:15, she has completed her shift meeting, has her delegation guidelines from the RN, Sarah, and is helping patients. Miranda starts this morning with Mrs. Walker, a 77-year-old widow who has limited mobility and partial blindness. Miranda gently wakes up Mrs. Walker at 7:15 AM, helps her get out of her briefs,…
