- I often hear people saying that great ideas sell themselves. I don't believe they do. In fact, from experience, the best ideas often take the most work to sell. It all comes down to judgment and a misunderstanding of our gut reactions. Humans are not designed for office life, instead we're designed for foraging, hunting, and running from wild beasts, so today's office workers are operating using bodies and minds designed for quite a different purpose. Like all other animals, we have a distributed nervous system that's spread throughout our entire bodies. So not all of our thinking happens inside the meatball on top of our necks. The largest collection of neurons outside our skull is in our digestive tract.
