- Early on in my career, I came to the realization that if I had a poor relationship with my team, the whole operation would suffer, and no amount of coordination or strategy would make up for a weak relationship between employees and supervisor. So in my dissertation research, I looked at how organizations aligned members and how those interactions played out. What I found was that if the relationship between supervisor and supervisor wasn't healthy, then pretty much nothing else mattered. Relationships are the key to being a good leader, a good manager, a good supervisor. And it's up to you to set the tone. I want to share with you a few tips that can guide you to building strong relationships with your teams. First, you've got to be honest.
