- Consider a hypothetical situation. Let's imagine your company is looking to promote someone. What's the biggest advantage you'd guess you'd have toward getting that promotion? What makes you invaluable? Take a moment to think about it. What answer comes to mind? Not long along, I surveyed thousands of business leaders around the world and asked them, "What makes one employee more valuable than another?" The one answer I heard most often was pretty simple. The most valuable employees know how to do essential valuable work better than their co-workers. Business leaders want to do everything they can to keep invaluable, irreplaceable employees at the company. This is where the principle of Most Valuable Activities comes in.
