- Be present in today, don't try and skip ahead, everything takes longer than you realize. When I was 30, I felt frustrated, 'cause I thought I hadn't achieved anything, and I compared myself to my peers. When I was 35, I did the same, and I felt very depressed that I hadn't, quote, unquote, made it. And when I was 40, I did that to myself too. Now, at 48, I don't feel that way anymore. I see women who are publishing great books at 80. I see women who are raising their children, and then going into congress, into public service. And I see women becoming presidents of their country in their 60s and 70s. So, life is long, what's important is what you do with your life every single day. It's never too good to peak too early anyway.
