- So much of getting the right answer is asking the right question, and I think that skill trait is undervalued in journalism and quite frankly, anywhere, that the way you ask a question can actually lead to a different answer. If you ask a question in a certain way, can it help you get what you want? Yes. If you ask a question in a certain way, could it allow this individual who has enormous power to reveal something in a way that makes news? Yes. The way we ask the question, the power of the question is something I'm working on now, and I've been working on my entire journalistic career, but how we write that question, how we ask that question is enormously important in terms of getting the right answer.
