- Okay, so let's say you have decided that you want to seek venture capital funding, that you have an idea that you think you can grow to be a hundred-million-dollar-a-year-in-revenue business. There's a path to this, and there are certain steps that you have to take. And the first step in doing that is preparing your deck because you want to organize your thoughts and have something to leave behind for people. But there's a certain method and certain steps that people are used to hearing and following. So, let's say you've decided that you have a venture capital-ready company. One that you think can grow to $100 million a year in revenues. The first step to seeking venture capital dollars is to think about the strategy of your company and also to the valuation. There's a lot of data out there to help you figure out what the valuation of your company can be. You know, people forget that Google is out there.
